Privacy
This is a placeholder written by us, not by a lawyer. It will change before launch and should not be relied on yet. Last updated October 2026.
What we collect
Your account: name, email address, the business you set up and the cell number you verify for forwarding.
Your business line: the numbers you buy, who is on them, your hours, and the greeting text you choose.
Calls and texts: the numbers involved, when they happened, how long they lasted, the text of messages and any pictures sent, voicemail recordings and their transcripts, and call recordings and summaries when you turn recording on.
Billing: your invoices and usage. Card details go straight to Stripe and never touch our servers.
How we use it
To run your business line: route calls and texts to the right person, store your inbox, transcribe voicemail and bill you for what you use.
To support you: answer questions, investigate problems and tell you about changes to the service.
We do not sell your information and we do not use the content of your calls or texts to advertise to anyone.
Who we share it with
We rely on a small number of providers to run Dialwyn: Twilio for calls and texts, Stripe for billing, Clerk for sign-in, Vercel for hosting and media storage, and Ollama for call summaries. Each receives only what it needs to do its job.
Some of these providers store data outside Canada. We will list where each one keeps it before launch.
We share information with authorities only when the law requires it, and we will tell you when we are allowed to.
How long we keep it
Your inbox stays as long as your account does. When you close your account we delete calls, texts, voicemail and recordings within 30 days, and keep invoices for as long as Canadian tax law requires.
Your rights
Under PIPEDA and provincial privacy law you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to us and we will answer within 30 days.
